An overall healthy lifestyle is recommended for women of all ages but, once you have crossed the 40ies mark, paying good attention to your body should become one of your top priorities. Without claiming to show a full list, here are some health tips for mid-aged women.
* Keep your weight under control. While you don’t necessarily have to be a supermodel at this age, being out of shape can have hazardous effects on your circulatory system.
* Calcium is your new friend. Mid-aged women are prone to osteoporosis, and a daily intake of calcium can keep the disease under control.
* Get a subscription to a gym. Again, you don’t have to become a model (even though your husband wouldn’t mind, *wink*), but your bones and muscles have to be kept in shape.
* Don’t put others’ priorities ahead. Granted, the family always comes first, but don’t forget about yourself.
* Smoking is bad at any age, but it’s even worse when you’re in your forties. It is one of the leading causes of lung cancer in the UK. Just quit!
